Not soft rubber and really tiny plus also has plastic piecesThese are not as soft as the ones my friend had. These are still hard enough to do damage if a child were to trip on it or throw it. I was looking for rubbery/silicone soft blocks.These blocks are very soft to the touch and maleable. They keep their shape well, since they have enough thickness to them, but if you step on one of these, it won't be the horror that we're accustomed to. They look and are compatible with all sorts of building blocks that look like megablocks (not the tiny legos, but the blocks above that) They are just as easy to handle, and can be joined and separated super easily. They are easier to handle than the harder brand-name, and my son likes them more as a result. The blocks come with a good variety of sizes and colors. They mixed well with his other blocks. I included a brand-name on top of one of these.The train cars are hard plastic, unlike the rest of the blocks. The train cars need to be rigid, so i understand why it is this way.The bin that they can be stored in is able to hold all the blocks, and the clasps are big and easy for my little one to open. I am very happy with this kit.As pictured and somewhat soft. Made for toddlersThis is a nice set of blocks for my youngest grandson. (His siblings have every kind of block toy- large to mini sized.) These look exactly like the others, but unique in that they are ‘chewable’.All of the blocks are soft and bendable and I love the material they’re made of. The only blocks that are hard are the base of the vehicles and the wheels. They’re perfect for his hands. I also like that you can sterilize them since they go in the mouth often.A nice box that has locking handles contains all blocks and has an good handle for carrying. The set with the blocks and box make for a tidy but fun play event. These can be moved from room to room easily or packed easily for travel.We really like these blocks, soft and easy. But we are missing 2, 3 prong pieces. I have emailed the seller to see what we can do. We don't want to return it because my toddler loves them so much and doesn't know they're missing. For instance we can't make the boat like the picture shows because the package is missing the bottom blocks.
